In combination with the babble error, I suspect you are either on
the wrong IRQ, or you have another noise source on the IRQ:


IRQ 2:		Check to see if the video card is sending vertical
		retrace interrupts.

IRQ 5:		You have a sound card.  You can not share interrupts
		with ISA cards.  Period.

IRQ 7:		Garbage interrupt.  Don't use IRQ 7 for anything
		other than the parallel printer port.
