The following reply was made to PR kern/117421; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Nate Eldredge <neldredge@math.ucsd.edu> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, neldredge@ucsd.edu Cc: Subject: Re: kern/117421: System hang with failing SATA disk (SiI3114) Date: Tue, 23 Oct 2007 14:19:51 -0700 (PDT) Just as a note: I hacked together something with hwpmc to generate NMIs and drop to the debugger, and even that did not interrupt this hang. Note, however, that this would not interrupt a halted cpu. So either it's that, or a hardware crash of some kind, I guess. Btw, the newline behavior seems to have gone away in further tests. -- Nate Eldredge neldredge@math.ucsd.edu
