>Environment:
Gnome on VMWare 6.5
>Description:
I installed FreeBSD-7.1-RELEASE on VMWare 6.5, with Gnome desktop environment

Right after logging in from GDM screen, it took too long to respond, actually when opening new applications including startup Gnome components. Usually at least 3 or 4 minutes.

following this guide http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/docs/faq2.html#q20
.. I changed the hosts file and also checked the following sysctls according to the guide

net.inet.tcp.blackhole
net.inet.udp.blackhole

but I didn't see any improvement.
>How-To-Repeat:
- Log in to Gnome desktop from GDM, using any account, including root
- From that time, everything takes too long to open, but not hung.
