rmuser rebuilds entire database for passwd with rmuser.  On our system this takes about 5-10 minutes (ugh)

Excuse the bug if its already been addressed

try rmuser

change
    system('/usr/sbin/pwd_mkdb', '-p', ${new_passwd_file});
to
    system('/usr/sbin/pwd_mkdb', '-u', ${login_name}, '-p', ${new_passwd_file});
in
    /usr/sbin/rmuser
