I just downloaded and installed the linux version of realplayer 5.0,
and whenever I try to play a .ram or .rm file, I get a can't open
device error. Sound works with other apps, and I can get sound if I
do a cat sound.au > /dev/audio as my normal non-root user. I've got
all the library paths in my .cshrc, and the player starts fine, it
just won't play anything. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jim
