I use FreBSD and Exchange 5.5 at work. Exchange serves office network =
users. FreeBSD (I use sendmail as MTA ) serves dial-up and x.25 users. =
Of course FreeBSD/sendmail is better MTA than Exchange. But Exchange has =
services for address book replication. FreeBSD is the greatest OS for =
corporate network, but it is a few dificulty to administrate. =
FreeBSD/sendmail is more stable than Exchange. My FreeBSD boxes run many =
months without rebooting. I reboot NT/Exchange boxes every day. Also I =
should every day check MTA queue with MTACHECK utility. Some day ago =
Internet Mail Service on Exchange box crushed Information Store. I just =
has deleted IMS Connector and then reinstall it. With FreeBSD I don't =
have any troubles. I affraid to forget my FreeBSD mail configuration =
because I have installed my FreeBSD boxes one year ago and I didn't make =
any serious changes.

  Subject: E-Mail Server Question

  Hello Group.

2 day old newbie here. Quick question on mail servers. I come from a =
Windows
Server background. "I Apologize" and have used exchange for many years =
and
love it. Are there any programs that come with FreeBSD when you =
install it
that compare with Exchange Server 5.5?

  Thanks,
