when copying:
cp -R /cdrom/hierarchy /tmp

the hierarchy is about 500Megs.

after doing above my machine consistenly reboots after about 300Megs.
i am running FreeBSD 2.2.7-RELEASE.

not sure what type of cdrom hardware. any ideas why the above is happening?
