And this is is "selective concern" that is being shown.

I know that the machines didn't config lo0 by default, I was there.

I'm not complaining or calling for a fix, because my recent batch of
installations (5 or so Dell PowerEdge 4350s with 4.0-CURRENT snapshots)
didn't display this behavior.

I'm just suggesting we not just discredit the original poster, because it
did happen. It's been about 3 months, but I think the original cause was
network_interfaces only containing the ethernet card after installation.
