You can probably run things in a multi-initiator mode (i.e. with both FreeBSD boxes attached to the array) and just use the array on one machine or the other. You'd have to have the SCSI side of things setup properly, of course. (just how depends on the array hardware, bus setup, etc.) I haven't actually done this, but I think Matt Jacob <mjacob@feral.com> may have done it with Fibre Channel.
