The problem isn't Netscape; it's how many apps you have open that are
grabbing the colormap (eg. xv). Just run netscape with the -install option
to fix this (dirtily). To actually solve the problem, quit out of whatever
graphic hog you have open, or increase your resolution (from 256 to 16
bit, for example).
