https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D211420 Bug ID: 211420 Summary: lang/php55 request to extend port expiration date Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ale@FreeBSD.org Reporter: 000.fbsd@quip.cz Flags: maintainer-feedback?(ale@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: ale@FreeBSD.org According to this discussion https://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-ports/2016-July/104165.html I propose to extend expiration date to 2 or 3 months. Last version 5.5.38 fixing 15 bugs was released 2016-07-21 (in ports tree f= rom 2016-07-26) Current expiration is set to 2016-08-20 which I think is short period and deprecation warning was added just to this version. (OK, few days before but without portrevision bump nobody have seen it) 5.5.38 will remain in quaterly branch too. I think it will be better to not remove this wildly used port so fast. It i= s no harm to the ports tree to leave it there one month longer. Please consider longer deprecation warning period for ports like this next time. Some ports have expiration 6 months after last upstream release. For example Ansible. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
