State-Changed-Why:
To submitter: Out of interest, what was in the disks before you attempted
to install FreeBSD for the first time? Is there any chance you have saved
a copy of the panic text (specifically, to begin with, the line beginning
"instruction pointer =")? Lastly, were you trying to install the i386 or
the amd64 port of FreeBSD?
