recently.  I'll try again in case the message got lost, but you must

Why isn't it going to upper case?  You must have a login problem of
somesort. Check /var/log/ppp.log for info.

No, no no!  Change virtual consoles, login, THEN run ftp.  You are
suspending ppp so the link won't work!
