ok.. 
you the problem is that the printer does nothing no
matter where i send the file. 
saying 
cp blah.txt > /dev/lpt0 
does nothing.. sorry i forgot to mention that.
it does not print in BSD no matter what.
but it does in winXX.. 
any other suggestions ???
