You haven't been to New York, obviously.  Cyclists here obey neither
vehicular traffic lights nor pedestrian lights; they don't slow down at
intersections or care who may be in their way, whether it's a pedestrian
or a truck, they just keep going...

That said, I haven't actually witnessed a collision yet.  Only several
near misses.  Quick reflexes I suppose.
