Thanks for the help so far... (trying to get a yamaha opl3-sa2 sound card working on 3.0) Pnp/pcm seems to work (card detected & configured), but after that: If I use (cd /dev ; ./MAKEDEV snd1 ), there is a kernel msg 'device not configured', if I use MAKEDEV snd0 , first the box hangs, then the kernel panics...
