	BTW, the following SCSI command (posted earlier):

		scsi -s 1800 -f /dev/st0ctl.0 \
			-c "1b 0 0 0 0:b5 v:b1 v:b1 v:b1 0" 0 1 1

	works fine to retension my tape (QIC 60)...  

	But if I use:

		mt -f /dev/nrst0 reten

	I get:

		% mt reten
		mt: /dev/nrst0: retens: Invalid argument
