I have FreeBSD-3.0 RELEASE and a HP deskjet 600c Printer. when i type the test syntax of *lptest > /dev/lpt0* it will print the characters on the first (upper) line. But, when i do subsequent tests with the same *test line*, won't print Jack.... just blank sheets of paper get thrown at me by the printer. In addition, when i try to print a simple text file with *cat file-name > /dev/lpt0* the files pile up in the que (lpq) but never printer. <-- not even blank sheets of paper.
