Hi Martin, My mp3 player and mail server is a Thinkpad 560X running FreeBSD 4.6-stable. It runs quite well with XFree86 3.3.6; I haven't tried X 4.x. Sound and PCCard slots work fine too. The only problem using it as a desktop is that with the 96MB maximum RAM you can't run modern bloated browsers etc., but that's equally true with Linux.
