It goes to the internet to download the source-files that it needs to build 
the application.

If you have the source-file, put it in the folder /usr/ports/distfiles, 
otherwise it will try and d/l them...

Ports are just makefiles and patches to those to make them work under FreeBSD, 
they don't hold the actual source files needed...
