for my money i think that freebsd is a better os, however due to stealth
marketing i think that linux might be winning the war........ at the end of
the day it's what your used to and what you like...... but look at it this
way unix is unix in its stable and reliable way and it is not like trying
to decide over microsoft windows or apple macintosh where if you learn't
one you'd be totally lost in the other........ so far i've played with
hp-ux, sco unix, freebsd and linux and i have found them (although quite
different) sufficiently similar to allow me to learn quickly and work
things out.......
oh well, hope i've helped and good luck in what you decide....
