Additionally, you may need to check how your passwords are encrypted in
/etc/master.passwd.  If the server is using DES and the client is using MD5
things will not work.  You can check these links:

	/usr/lib/libcrypt.a -> libdescrypt.a
	/usr/lib/libcrypt.so.2.0 -> libdescrypt.so.2.0
	/usr/lib/libcrypt_p.a -> libdescrypt_p.a
