My guess is that there was a line ending in "devices:" or something in
the kernel message buffer, but the start of line got pushed out, leaving
just "vices:" as it's own line, so the security check thinks it's a new
message.

We could really do with fixing this so the security check only detects
_real_ new lines.  Perhaps I'll look at doing that when I get a minute.
