 Additional information:
 
 I was able to reproduce the problem in fresh installation of 6.2-RC1 from CD 
 (6.2-RC1-i386-bootonly.iso) with GENERIC kernel:
 
 rm /etc/resolv.conf
 mount -fr /
 
 It does not happen with soft updates disabled.
