Check if user mysql exists. If it doesn't - create it.
# echo 'mysql_enable="YES"' >> /etc/rc.conf
#cd /usr/local/mysql
#bin/mysql_install_db --user=mysql
#chown -R root .
#chown -R mysql var
#chgrp -R mysql .
#bin/mysqld_safe --user=mysql &
#bin/mysqladmin -u root password ''
#bin/mysql
 grant all privileges on *.* to 'your_user'@'host' identified by 'password'
with grant option;
 exit;
