My isp has 2 portmasters with the following ip #'s
209.47.145.10-to which, if i happen to connect to, I cannot get out to the
net.

209.47.145.11-which I am on now and able to go anywhere

their gateway is 209.47.145.1
their name server is 209.47.145.2

 I will show

my ppp.conf, hosts, resolv.conf and rc.conf:

ppp.conf:
default:
 set speed 115200
 set device /dev/cuaa1
 set dial "ABORT BUSY ABORT NO\\sCARRIER TIMEOUT 5 \"\" AT31Q0 OK-ATZ-OK
ATDT\\$
tht:
 set phone "4169797161"
set login "TIMEOUT 15 login:-\\r-login: beef word: chullin
 set redial 10 4
 set ifaddr 209.47.145.213 0
 set timeout 900
 set openmode active

hosts while currently connected to my isp:
127.0.0.1 localhost.tht.net
                      tht.net localhost
209.47.145.213 beef.tht.net beef
209.47.145.213 beef.tht.net.

resolv.conf:
domain tht.net
                      tht.net
nameserver 209.47.145.2

(i don't know why it looks the way it does while connected and online, as
it looks different when not in a ppp session)

rc.conf:

#!/bin/sh
#

# This is rc.conf - a file full of useful variables that you can set
# to change the default startup behavior of your system.

# All arguments must be in double or single quotes.

The above looks messy but I am doing pico and the file name. I hope this
can give you the nesesarry info to determine what it is that will not
allow me to go in to the internet if i dial in and go on the portmaster
with the ip of 209.47.145.10

Please help me. This is so damm frustrating. I like the ppl at the isp and
they said that even tech support at livingston can't fiqure it out.

Well maybe on of you can.

Thank you in advance for any help which you may be able to give. If you
