My usual method is to assign the conflicting address a different name and
then create an alias.

Example:

One person wants office@amplex.net and someone else wants
office@toledoaasr.com. Both domains are virtual domains on one server.

Give office@amplex.net the original name - everything normal

For office@toledoaasr.com create a email account called office1. This is
what they log in with to get their mail. In the aliases file create an
alias office@toledoaasr.com.

Since the alias table is consulted first when delivering mail then mail sent
to office@toledoaasr.com will end up in the account 'office1'. Mail to any
other office@OtherVirtual.Domains will end up in the account 'office'.
