(question) (A) Would that mean to copy the files from both install disks into one common directory then export the directory via NFS? (B) Mount each ISO in a loopback then export the two loopbacked ISO's under each other in an exported parent directory? TIA ################################################################# 2.13.6.1 Before Installing via NFS The NFS installation is fairly straight-forward. Simply copy the FreeBSD distribution files you want onto an NFS server and then point the NFS media selection at it. If this server supports only =E2=80=9Cprivileged port=E2=80=9D (as is gener= ally the default for Sun workstations), you will need to set the option NFS Secure in the Options menu before installation can proceed. If you have a poor quality Ethernet card which suffers from very slow transfer rates, you may also wish to toggle the NFS Slow flag. In order for NFS installation to work, the server must support subdir mounts, for example, if your FreeBSD 6.1 distribution directory lives on: ziggy:/usr/archive/stuff/FreeBSD, then ziggy will have to allow the direct mounting of /usr/archive/stuff/FreeBSD, not just /usr or /usr/archive/stuff. In FreeBSD's /etc/exports file, this is controlled by the -alldirs options. Other NFS servers may have different conventions.
