Subject: International characters in FreeBSD 2.2.2-RELEASE and 2.2.5-RELEASE

We get hex-characters instead of international characters in vi in
2.2.2-RELEASE and 2.2.5-RELEASE.

In 2.2.1-RELEASE we solved this by setting these lines in /etc/sysconfig:
keymap="swedish.iso"
font8x16="iso-8x16.fnt"
font8x14="iso-8x14.fnt"
font8x8="iso-8x8.fnt"

and these lines in /etc/profile:
ENABLE_STARTUP_LOCAL=;export ENABLE_STARTUP_LOCAL
LANG=sv_SE.ISO_8859-1; export LANG

With the exception that sysconfig now is rc.conf I have done
the same in 2.2.2 and 2.2.5 but it doesn't work anymore.

What am I missing?

Thanks for your time!
