Shoot, I didn't even think about that!  I suppose that a ping from 10.1.1.1 with
a subnet of 255.255.255.0 to 10.0.0.1 just isn't going to make it...

This machine was previously running Windows and I have not changed the cable nor
location, so it should be fine.
