According to "man src.conf", you need to set WITHOUT_NIS=yes
in /etc/src.conf and rebuild.

WITHOUT_NIS
Set to not build NIS(8) support and related programs. If set,
you might need to adopt your nsswitch.conf(5) and remove `nis'
        entries.
