The following reply was made to PR ports/144734; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Hardy Schumacher" <hardy.schumacher@gmx.de> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/144734: www/firefox: Firefox-3.6 doesn't terminate it's processes correctly on close Date: Sat, 20 Mar 2010 18:38:05 +0100 No, I don't have installed the flashplugin. The only plugin I had installed (beside the default available plugins) was Firebug. And this was at v1.5 and could not be updated because of the Firefox issue with https connections. So right now I removed the Firebug plugin, and now Firefox is working without issues. But the processes are still there, even when I close Firefox. The only difference is, that Firefox doesn't say anything after I closed it and start it again. But because of the processes are still there after closing Firefox, this PR can not be closed yet.
