At autoconfiguration I get these messages apparently from my ethernet
card.

    ep0: <3Com 3C509-TPO EtherLink III> at port 0x300-0x30f irq 10 on isa0
ep0: eeprom failed to come ready.

    ep0: Ethernet address 00:00:00:00:00:00
    ep1: <3Com 3C509B-TPO EtherLink III (PnP)> at port 0x210 irq 5 on isa0
    ep1: Ethernet address 00:a0:24:81:36:ff

There is only one card present. when the system finishes booting the card
works intermittently (pings via ep1 return 1 out of 15 or so)

Is there a known fix for this?

thanks
chris
