Greetings all, Please cc: my address above if replying, since I'm not actually subscribed to the list. This may seem like a pretty basic question, but last night, one of my machines was brought down by this: Mar 22 05:52:35 cosmos /kernel: (da0:ahc0:0:0:0): SCB 0x0 - timed out while idle, LASTPHASE == 0x1, SEQADDR == 0x5 Mar 22 05:52:40 cosmos /kernel: (da0:ahc0:0:0:0): SCB 0: Immediate reset. Flags = 0x4040 Mar 22 05:52:40 cosmos /kernel: (da0:ahc0:0:0:0): no longer in timeout, status = 34b Mar 22 05:52:40 cosmos /kernel: ahc0: Issued Channel A Bus Reset. 8 SCBs aborted I'm assuming that that's some kind of read or write error on one of my SCSI drives (da0), and I'm in the process of procuring a new drive. Am I reading that correctly, and/or is there anything else I should know about that? Thanks in advance! ********************************************************************* * Bryce Newall * Email: data@dreamhaven.net * ICQ: 461599 * * SysAdmin / Hostmaster - DreamHaven Internet Services, LLC * * www.dreamhaven.net * www.dreamhaven.net/~data * ********************************************************************* To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
