 Heh.. this one got me too.. bet you have a jet direct card... telnet
 to the printer... there is a banner disable that you have to do :

To Change/Configure Parameters Enter: 
Parameter-name: value <Carriage Return>
Parameter-name  Type of value 

 ...

banner: 0 to disable, 1 to enable 

By default it is turned on.
