well it depends on the driver. Unless you have done some substantial
work towards the integration with your fxp port, i remember the "ed"
driver is significantly different (more complex) from
the "ns8390.c" code, so backporting one driver to netboot is not easy.
At least this was my experience with the "de" driver (things might be
simpler for "pure" FreeBSD drivers such as fxp or the recent vintage of
DEC clones from Bill Paul)
