Okay, I'm running 4.3-BETA on my 5500 ... I'm not sure when, after
4.2-RELEASE, the patch was applied, but I'd recommend just "going all the
way" ...

If you do go this route, I've noticed some intermediant problems between
4.2-RELEASE and current sources, so if that machine is semi-production,
make sure you do:

make buildworld
make buildkernel
make installkernel
reboot
make buildworld

just so that your world is ready ... the 'problems' were fixed once I got
the world up to date with the kernel ...
