	I don't have any problems:

pcm0: <VIA VT82C686A AC'97 Audio> port 0xd400-0xd403,0xd000-0xd003,0xcc00-0xccff irq 18 at device 7.5 on pci0

sbc0: <Soundblaster Pro> at port 0x220-0x22f irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 on isa0

This is on a MSI 694D Pro motherboard. In BIOS I may have disabled
Legacy Audio and I definitely enabled Sound Blaster. The kernel directives
   are:
#
# For PnP/PCI sound cards
#
device pcm

# For non-PnP cards:
#
device sbc0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15

It looks like I could remove the sbc0 entry from the kernel, but
I didn't have any problems. And this, BTW, is from a kernel built 10/10.
