Hi, I tried copying files from some CDs today, including one burnt by the drive, to hard disk and got a lot of read errors. eg. Mar 30 12:30:16 cyning /kernel: vm_fault: pager read error, pid 436 (cp) Mar 30 12:30:21 cyning /kernel: acd0: READ_BIG - HARDWARE ERROR asc=08 ascq=03 error=00 Mar 30 12:30:21 cyning /kernel: vm_fault: pager read error, pid 436 (cp) Mar 30 12:30:24 cyning /kernel: acd0: READ_BIG - HARDWARE ERROR asc=08 ascq=03 error=00 The CD-RW drive is only a few months old so I am reluctant to think it is faulty. It is a Ricoh MP7163A.
