It's rather like "the millenium starts on Jan 1 2001"... the U.S.
celebrated its bicentenial in 1976.

I should have stuck with "200+ years", which is what I had written
originally, but later changed to 225 because of the bicentenial.

Technically, given the date of the Declration in 1776, I should
have said something sifferent for that, but... whatever.  8-).
