Speaking of which, http://people.freebsd.org/~peter/mcs.c
It works on x86, and almost works on alpha. I've got some more polish
to apply.

Man page: http://www.netsys.com/cgi-bin/solaris8?mcs(1)

My intention is to add a call to 'mcs -c' after the strip call in install(1).

peter@overcee[5:07pm]~/mcs-156> cp mcs test
peter@overcee[5:07pm]~/mcs-157> ./mcs -p test
[ASM_FILE_END]GCC: (c) 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
[ASM_FILE_END]GCC: (c) 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
[ASM_FILE_END]GCC: (c) 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
[ASM_FILE_END]GCC: (c) 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
peter@overcee[5:07pm]~/mcs-158> ./mcs -c test
peter@overcee[5:07pm]~/mcs-159> ./mcs -p test
[ASM_FILE_END]GCC: (c) 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
peter@overcee[5:07pm]~/mcs-160> ./mcs -a FOOBAR test
peter@overcee[5:07pm]~/mcs-161> ./mcs -p test
[ASM_FILE_END]GCC: (c) 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
FOOBAR
peter@overcee[5:07pm]~/mcs-162>

It doesn't work on kernels yet either.

Cheers,
-Peter
