The Alpha install is the same as the x86 install.  

 - Make floppies. 
 - Boot kern.flp. (*)
 - Insert mfsroot.flp when prompted.
 - Follow instructions on screen.
 - Be happy.

(*) the magic incantation is "boot dva0".
