Thanks for tha fast reaction but indeed doenst help me out.

Bye the way do you have any clue why it does help for XP and other windows
machines ?
(even on linux smoothwall it did te trick !!)

and as i see you solution doesn't always use the second line.. let's say i'd
use both lines all the time to dial in.. (i'm sure my isp will never ever
givme me the second one, but thats the way it seems to work on smoothwall
and windows)

will:
set autoload 10 80 30

then simply turn into
set autoload 0 0 999 ??

thanks

Hi
I just cut&pasted in from /usr/share/examples/ppp/ppp.conf.isdn you should
add to your working configuration.

set mrru 1500 # Multilink mode please
set mru 1504 # Room for the MP header

clone 1,2 # Two new links
link deflink rm # And get rid of the original one

link * set mode auto # Automatically manage the second
link
set autoload 10 80 30 # Down @10% usage, up at 80%, 30s
sample
set server /var/run/ppp/ppp-isdn "" 0177 # The diagnostic port (-rw-------)

and change maybe
set autoload 10 100 3600
so that the second link does never come up.
But I doubt that this will solve your problems, anyway you'll see.
