I've been working on this problem for a couple of days and maybe someone here can shed some light on the subject. I'm putting together virtual services..web, email, ftp, etc on a 'slice' of the computer. Basically its being done w/ chroot to make the user's home directory the root of the server for requests to their particular IP address (they have their own virtual directory structure w/ /bin /usr /etc ..etc). This way, I can run multiple versions of apache, sendmail, ftp, etc all catered to the client. Anyway, I've got apache working good like this, but I'm having a heck of a time getting frontpage to work. I don't know if its the way I'm trying to do it w/ chroot or if I'm just not installing the extensions correctly. I'm using frontpage 3.0 extensions w/ the fp30 patch to apache1.3.4 source. build compile..all works good../server-info shows that frontpage module is compiled in. I can install the extensions without any errors, but no matter what I do and I've tried a zillion different ways...when I try to open up the site w/ frontpage it gives '404 Not Found Not Found The requested URL /_vti_bin/shtml.exe/_vti_rpc was not found on this server.' (when you click the details box on the error). This indicates to me that the frontpage module isn't doing the proper redirecting, but I can't figure out why...anyone have any suggestions?
