I have just updated the system to 9.3-STABLE and still cannot compile
an i386 world to another disk. What am I doing wrong? Am I the only one to
have this problem?

I clearly remember this working a couple of month ago.

[root@vas /usr/src] make world TARGET=i386 DESTDIR=/mnt

make: don't know how to make /mnt/usr/lib/libc.a. Stop
*** [make] Error code 2

Stop in /usr/src.
*** [upgrade_checks] Error code 1

Stop in /usr/src.
