if it's the same one as in the inspiron 3800, you may be in luck soon...

the driver for the maestro 1/2 almost works...  (almost meaning that
depending on what combination of patches i try, i can either get an
annoying beep that won't go away or no sound at all)  you just have to add
the pci id to the driver.

check the archives for the past week or so, and you can find a bunch of
messages about it.
