 *   Log:
 * Define MASTER_SITE_SUBDIR=asami/LOCAL_PORTS as these are moved to my
 * area on the local ports tree.

Since the current (old) definition of MASTER_SITE_LOCAL doesn't
include %SUBDIR%, these are essentially nop's. (Unless I messed up
something with the ports that have multiple MASTER_SITE_*'s.) I'll
commit the change to bsd.port.mk/bsd.sites.mk when the distfiles
actually show up on ftp.FreeBSD.org's new directory.

People are encouraged to take stuff in my LOCAL_PORTS into their own
~/public_distfiles. (I see some committers who are maintainers of
these ports, please take these to your directory.) No need to drop me
a line; just copy the file(s) over and change the Makefile.

Note your directory is not under ~/public_html; read DavidO's attached
announcement for details. (Also, the directory on ftp.FreeBSD.org has
changed to include "ports" but you don't have to worry about that.)

Subject: Moving personal distfiles from Freefall to ftp.freebsd.org

In an attempt to reduce the load on the FreeBSD.org & cdrom.com T-1, we
are moving all the distfiles from ~<user>/public_html to ftp.freebsd.org.
Thus distfiles will no longer be fetchable from Freefall.

We have a script that will copy ~<user>/public_distfiles to a staging
area on Freefall, which is copied to ftp.freebsd.org multiple times a
day.

My question is are people OK with the minning script using the name
"public_distfiles" as the source for this, and are people OK with
"/pub/FreeBSD/local-distfiles" being the name on ftp.freebsd.org?
