I dont remember what the was about but anyway by looking at my message
there it looks like I am encouraging a little self study. When I come
here unprepared without first trying to fix it myself, people here
guide me to look at the freebsd website or elsewhere. Everyone needs
to know how to find the answer themselves and when they cant then they
come here! That is how I learned when I first started coming here to
the freebsd mailing list! So ease up Mr. Washington!

#This is being unfair to the guys!! I suppose you better not write if
#you've nothing to assist with. This is a very important forum where
#everyone, including you, Mr Walker, comes for help. This is a Windows
#fellow. Don't be hard on him. Help him if you can or just better not say
#anything.

#Hi Windows User,
#In FreeBSD, they do not install drivers like we do in Windows. All you
#have to do is to make sure the card you want to use is supported by
#FreeBSD. You can find out that in a file /sys/i386/conf/LINT.
#If you find that yours appears there, you'll then recompile support for it
#in the KERNEL.
#That is something like you make a copy of the file called GENERIC.
#cp GENERIC MY_MACHINE_NAME
#then edit the new file name using a atext editor like vi or ee or pico
#the lines you have to add will depend on what you get from LINT and the
#output of dmesg as regards your device.
#
#Please send us a copy of your dmesg, especially the portion that seems to
#talk about your sound card and some good guys in here will endeavor to
#help you out. Only remember they cannot make guesses. You may start with
#telling us what you used to call your sound card in Windows...
#
#Welcome to FreeBSD community.
