In your case it seems, the BIOS doesn't feel, your USB media might be bootable at all. If BIOS feels, your USB media is bootable, it will simulate it as a legacy device that is accessible to boot0cfg and friends. As this issue is clearly neither a usb(4) nor a kernel problem, we're closing this PR. Please feel free to write to our fine mailing lists if you have problems preparing bootable media.
