Not from the same kernel. If you guys want to roll HVM, then RELENG_8
(ie, 8-STABLE) should be better. PVM support in 8 and -head needs a
lot of attention; but various reports indicate HVM will run fine.

Let me know what you'd like and I'll see what I can upload.
